⫸ At times I wonder how the world is still spinning.

There’s only so much I should know about today’s world struggles. The news is always so unpredictable these days. I’m a 16 year old girl who doesn’t know how to pronounce half of the words on the CNN articles, but yet I’m still concerned. You see different countries struggle to find their independence with leaders that are dependable, individuals who seek to find acceptance, and of course, those who have been caught after running from the consequences of their actions. So, as I was half asleep during my English class (ironically), I began to think. how is the world still spinning?

Obviously there are scientific reasonings to answer that question, but metaphorically, how do we all proceed to live our lives while the walls start to fall and decay around us. Even when you strongly believe that world’s state of affairs doesn’t affect you, it does.

For every time you say “there are other people there to help”, there is 10 other people saying the same thing. If you hear in your local news that a group of people did some kind of beach clean up, that doesn’t mean that the whole ocean is now free of pollution, there is always room for help.

Therefore, the problems that cause the world to crumble are cause by our tendency to be blind. The only vivid imagery we see is our beliefs and our personal values. So maybe, if you learned to accept people who have different values than you, or if you helped individuals who have hit a dead end in their journeys, or if you focused on not only yourself, but the entire world filled with many beautiful cultures, the world might just keep spinning.
